We are THE DATE, a project whose outcome is decided by the people who take part. By paying for an entry you agree to these Terms.
Each payment of USD 1.00 buys one entry. The limit is one entry per person. Every entry contributes to the same project (the "Project"). The number of verified entries sets the scale the Project can deliver.
At checkout you are asked to write one sentence. Only we read it and we do not publish it. Please do not write anything unlawful or anything that identifies other people.
You will be contacted by email when the date arrives.
The date is 23 June 2027, 00:00 Italian time (CEST, UTC+02:00). Entries close at that moment. After it, no further entry can be bought.
What the Project is, who delivers it and where, is not disclosed before the date. It is chosen from a list of eligible projects by a rule that is fixed before entries open, and revealed publicly on the date.
On the date we will publish the partner, the location, the deliverable and the amount committed. We will document the result and track its delivery to completion.
Every entry is final and irreversible. Once your payment is completed it cannot be cancelled, reversed or refunded.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. Prices are in US dollars. Your bank or Stripe may charge currency conversion costs.
The permanent record of the Project states the total number of participants and what the Project delivered. Participants are not named in it unless they have separately agreed.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any right you have under mandatory consumer law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our liability for an entry is limited to the amount you paid for it.
We may update these Terms. The version in force when you pay is the one that applies to your entry.
